Enterprises producing motor vehicles and their designed trailers, systems, components and separate technical units shall ensure the general safety of these vehicles and equipment and obtain the necessary approvals for this purpose. This obligation comes from the Type Approval Regulation on the General Safety of Motor Vehicles and Trailers, Systems, Components and Separate Technical Units designed by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.

This regulation has been enacted in order to fulfill the obligation to comply with the structure of the roads and traffic safety during the production and use of motor vehicles and to protect human health and natural environment.

Producers within the scope of the said regulation must comply with both the legal regulations in force and the regulations of the European Economic Commission (ECE) during their activities. In order to prove these conditions, an accredited authority must pass the tests and audits and get approval.

Certificate E is valid all over the world only if issued by an accredited body. For this reason, enterprises should first check the accreditation of the institution they will be approved for.

The first work of the authorized institution receiving the approval request is to determine which regulation, in which standard, the product falls within the scope. In the next step, product samples are taken and test and control procedures are performed in advanced laboratories. If it is determined that the product meets the relevant regulation criteria, Certificate E is issued and delivered to the company.

TÜRCERT Technical Control and Certification Co. checks the components, parts, systems and separate technical units of the motor vehicles to be offered to the market in compliance with the European Union directives, the legal regulations in force in our country and the European Union security standards and issues an E Certificate if deemed appropriate.
