Cranes are used in works that cannot be done with manpower. Cranes generally move in various directions to lift materials high and are used in mills, factories, workshops, indoor and outdoor and multi-storey construction sites. There are a wide variety of cranes designed to suit their intended use, such as monorail cranes, fixed cranes, single girder cranes, double girder cranes, low overhead cranes, jib cranes and overhead cranes. One of these is double girder overhead cranes. The lifting of the load is achieved by wire ropes passing over the reels. The mechanical efficiency of the crane is increased by increasing the number of pulleys. Large movable cranes, which are often encountered in large construction sites, are a further development of simple arm cranes. They are placed on a rail and moved in the construction site. In large workshops where heavy loads need to be transported, gantry cranes are also used.

Crane moving on paths double girder overhead craneshave a higher lifting ability than single girder ones. However, in order to achieve this, the main girders are lower than the single girder overhead cranes.

Double girder overhead bridge cranes Annex 3 Regulation on Maintenance, Repair and Periodic Inspections of the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Lifting and forwarding tools is in the group.

According to the principles described in this regulation, if there is no contrary value in the relevant standards, double girder overhead cranes must be able to lift and keep at least 1,25 of the declared load effectively and safely. Again double girder overhead cranes must have these load-resistant load brakes.

Periodic checks to be carried out must be carried out by mechanical engineers, machine technicians or high technicians and in double girder overhead cranes the first points of consideration should be the features described previously.

If inspection and control operations are to be carried out by non-destructive testing methods, these checks should only be carried out by engineers, technicians or technicians trained in accordance with the TS EN 473 standard.

EN TS EN 473 Non-Destructive Testing, Qualification and Certification of Non-Destructive Testing Personnel, General Rules ”standard was issued by the Turkish Standards Institute in 2010. It has been published.

These cranes, which may be dangerous during their use, must be inspected at least once a year unless a different period is specified in the relevant standards according to the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment.

In the same regulation, the standards that should be taken into consideration during these controls are listed.

The TÜRCERT certification body provides conformity assessment, certification and training services, while providing testing and inspection services. Do not hesitate to contact the experienced managers and employees of the TÜRCERT certification body for further information and inspection of double girder overhead cranes.
