The ISO 18513 Certificate to be obtained does not have an official value unless the body to which the certificate is requested is not a certification body authorized by an international accreditation body.

It should be noted here that the ISO 18513 Tourism Services Management System standard is not accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK). The ISO 18513 standard has been prepared and published by the International Standards Organization, but the Turkish Accreditation Agency has not authorized any certification body to issue an ISO 18513 Certificate (it has not accredited any certification body).

The certification bodies accredited by TÜRKAK for other management systems, if they will issue an ISO 18513 Certificate as a result of the audits, shall issue it unauthorized. In short, there is no ISO 18513 Certificate bearing the TÜRKAK logo.

Certification bodies operating in our country, therefore, issue ISO 18513 Certificate based on the authorization they get from foreign accreditation organizations or their solution partners. These foreign accreditation bodies include the British accreditation body WAS or the Japanese accreditation body JQA.

Certification bodies carry out on-site inspection work in the offices and facilities of tourism establishments based on the authorization they receive from these organizations and, if deemed appropriate, issue an ISO 18513 Certificate and submit it to the enterprise. The validity period of the certificate is three years. Interim audits are required every year. If faults occur during these inspections, they are requested to be corrected.
