The Quality Management System standard was revised in the latest 2008. In 2015, ISO (International Organization for Standardization) has changed quite strictly on the ISO 9001 standard. However, the arrangements made in 2008 did not change much.

The work was initiated by the International Committee on Standardization Organization (2012) in November. In May of 2014, the first draft standard was introduced and distributed to obtain opinions. More than three thousand comments have been made on the draft and nearly eighty percent of the opinion countries have been drafted by the draft.

These studies were completed in 2015 and ISO 9001: 2015 The latest version of the standard has entered into force in September of 2015.

All the management systems standards to be developed from now on will be compatible with each other through this new arrangement. All other management system standards will include the same chapter titles and definitions.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standards will soon be revised according to this new structure.

ISO 9001: The standard structure of the 2015 Quality Management System standard consists of ten main parts. For an easier understanding of ISO 9001: 2008 standard The structure of ISO 9001: 2015 standard is compared:

The new structure of the standard is designed to be more generic and easier to implement by the service sector. In this way, the expression of goods and services was used in this new structure while the product expression was used previously.

In addition, in order to enable companies to identify important problems and requirements in the planning and development stages of the Quality Management System, two standards have been added to the standard on the content of the organization: understanding the organization and structure of the organization and understanding the needs and expectations of relevant parties.

Another important difference is Stakeholder Relationship Management. This article is intended to balance the company's relationships with its business partners and organizations. These may be consumers, suppliers, retailers and other parties. The definition of related parties includes business owners, employees in the company, bankers and competitors.

The earlier version of the Standard was based on the improvement, improvement and implementation of the Quality Management System. In the new structure, the development of the Quality Management System and processes are discussed together.

Finally, the scope of the management evaluation has been expanded and the company's strategic direction, opinions of relevant parties and strategic and risk and opportunity evaluation have been introduced.
