The Red Star Food Safety Management System standard can be applied not only to tourism organizations, but also to all kinds of production and service sector organizations that are directly in the food sector or in contact with food in public or private sectors.

How to get a document?

Establishments that have established the Red Star Food Safety Management System standard in their establishments and have applied this system for a certain period of time, must first obtain a price quote from the TÜRCERT certification body. Depending on the size of the enterprise, the number of employees and the variety of activities, TÜRCERT first makes a price study and presents it to the related organization.

If an agreement is reached on the price, the relevant institution shall fill in the Application Form and submit the Food Safety Management System documents and any additional documents requested to TÜRCERT.

After that, the audit work starts. The auditors visit the relevant organization and monitor whether the activities are carried out in accordance with the criteria and standards of the system. It is requested to correct the detected nonconformities. If the nonconformities are resolved, the reports to be prepared by the auditors are reviewed by the relevant committee at the TÜRCERT certification body.

If the auditor's reports are approved, a Certification Agreement is made with the relevant organization and the Red Star Food Safety Management System Certificate is prepared and delivered to the company. The validity period of the contract and the document is three years. However, interim audits are conducted once a year and the related institution is monitored.

Before the validity period of the certificate expires, the relevant institution must apply again and request the renewal of the certificate.
