Mobile cranes are annexed to the Annex 3 Maintenance, Repair and Periodic Controls of the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, lifting and forwarding tools are in the group and are widely used tools.

According to the principles described here, in the relevant standards, unless otherwise specified, mobile cranesshall be capable of lifting and suspending at least 1,25 of the declared load in an effective and safe manner. In addition, mobile cranes must have load-resistant and load-resistant load brakes. This feature is the first thing to look at the examinations.

Periodic checks of mobile cranes must be carried out by mechanical engineers, machine technicians or high technicians. Otherwise, the inspection and subsequent inspection reports shall not be valid.

Heavy LiftingThe mobile cranes used in transporting transport are dangerous with these features. Mobile cranes must be checked at regular intervals in order to protect the health of employees and to provide a safe working opportunity.

According to the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment, it is a must to check the mobile cranes at least once a year, if not otherwise specified in the relevant standards.

The same regulation also shows the standards that should be taken into consideration during these controls:

  • TS 10116
  • TS EN 280
  • TS EN 818-6 + A1
  • TS EN 1495 + A2
  • TS EN 1709
  • TS EN 12079-3
  • TS EN 12927-7
  • TS EN 13157 + A1
  • TS EN ISO 13534
  • TS ISO 789-2
  • TS ISO 3056
  • TS ISO 4309
  • TS ISO 7592
  • TS ISO 9927-1
  • TS ISO 11662-1

  • FEM 9.752
  • FEM 9.755
  • FEM 9.756

Prior to the start of the inspection, previous inspection reports should be available if the mobile crane is available. It is the first point to look at whether the previously determined nonconformities have been resolved. The mobile crane is then visually inspected and checked for any visible cracks, loosening of the bolts, whether there is a problem with the various connections, and the condition of the hook. The electric elements of the mobile crane are controlled from the rear. Then the mechanical controls of the mobile crane are carried out. In the next step, the functional controls of the mobile crane are made. In the case of no load, it is checked whether the required functions are performed. Finally, the final stage load lifting experiments are performed. 1.25 solid load with the capacity of the dynamic load experiments and capacity 1.5 solid load gradual static load tests are performed.

The TÜRCERT certification body provides conformity assessment, certification and training services, and also provides testing and inspection services. Mobile crane inspection controls are one of the services provided in this way. Please do not hesitate to contact the TÜRCERT certification body, its experienced managers and employees for more information on mobile crane inspection controls.
